Trouble Starters

  • Let's start the day with the topic that most starting entrepreneurs dread most - money.

For a healthy business, you need a good understanding of your finances. In this practical session, we will talk about how set your pricing strategy, how to plan your sales and how to track your revenue. If you know your numbers, you have power.

When you walk out of this session, you'll feel more confident about the financial picture of your business.

  • Now that you know your costs and pricing, let's take a look at customers.

    Who are your customers?

    How do they find you?

Why do they buy from you?

How do you get more of them?

In this session, we'll be focusing on how you can answer these questions for yourself. You can use this information to: plan your marketing campaigns, identify potential collaborations, decide which actions to increase and which ones to decrease and plan for growth.

  • Getting started with your business asks a lot of your time and there are always so many things to do. How can you use tech tools to help you make the most of your time?

During this session, you'll learn more about some easy to use tech tools that can help you with specific tasks. You'll also learn how to keep your business safe online. We promise not to nerd out too deeply and only talk in programming language!

  • What makes you get up in the morning? What prompted you to become an entrepreneur? What makes you different from all of the others out there?

The answers to these questions are often where a great story starts, the story of your brand and your products, of your business. Too often, we forget that everything is personal because it all starts with people. How can you tell the story of your business and you in a way that feels comfortable and real?

Platforms are tools. Without the story, they are empty. Join us to gain the tools to write your own story and how to tell it.

  • Have you thought about expanding outside of the Netherlands? Does it seem like a someday dream? It's never too early to start planning and taking steps towards it.

The Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) is the arm of the Dutch government that is busy with international trade. Join this session to learn more about the programs available. You might be more ready than you think you are!

  • Have you outgrown the story that you tell about your business and your growth to date? Want to make sure that the sequel is as good as your first story - perhaps even better?

We'll explore the next level of telling the story of you, your business and your growth. Come prepared to think and create!

  • How often have you heard "You need to hire a CTO/CMO/VP/CHO/UNO"? Rather than hire based on a title that others say you need, how can you determine what the next skillset is that you need in your business?

It might not be who you think it is.

  • You've worked hard to build a healthy business. Now you have built a team that can increase your reach. Is there nothing left for you to do except manage people?

Rest assured, there is always more to do. We'll dig into understanding your current sales and using them to make decisions about where to grow, which new markets to explore and partnerships. How can you ensure that your sales strategy is the one that works for you? Can you ever choose not to have certain customers? Bring your questions to the conversation!

  • As your business grows, so do your tech needs. What tech tools are right for you? Should you decide this or your IT Department?

In this session, we will explore security and information transfer, AI tools, customer/sales and marketing solutions and what you need to know about bringing them together.

  • Since you started your business, it's been growing. You've worked hard to get it to the current stage. Now that you are ready to expand further, maybe it's time to explore the option of using someone else's capital - let them invest in your hard work.

We know the depressing statistics on the topic of women-owned businesses and financing. In this workshop, we will focus on the different options for financing your growth and being an outlier on those statistics.

  • Priorities change over our lifetimes. Yet we're still expected to manage them all, to have it all, to be more. Everyone else seems able to manage it.

Hmm, but is that what you want? To be like everyone else? Do you feel a spark when you rebel?

This is a conversation meant for you if you'd like to say "No" more often to others and "Yes" more often to yourself.

  • How often have you heard "You need to hire a CTO/CMO/VP/CHO/UNO"? Rather than hire based on a title that others say you need, how can you determine what the next skillset is that you need in your business?

It might not be who you think it is.

  • The saying goes that people don't leave jobs, they leave bad bosses. For most of us, we can remember the type of managers we didn't do well under. Secretly, we might even be worried that we could turn out to be just like them.

Come prepared to learn more about what being a good boss means to you and what your standards are. Let's say you never went to Manager 101 and now you have a team to manage, what to do? Here's a session perfect for you to get more out of yourself as a leader and give your team more of what they need to be productive, energized and feel valued.

  • When you are giving a presentation, how do you feel? How do you think you are presenting yourself? What is your body language saying about you?

In this workshop, bring a 5-minute presentation to share. You'll get direct feedback and techniques on how to make sure your body language and your words are in sync.

  • Sometimes meetings can be dangerous to your health. You can be exposed to things like: mansplaining, idea theft, dismissal, coffee serving, note taking, and the ever popular role incredulity - this one being the disbelief that you are boss.

Frustrating, hurtful, annoying and toxic. It's unlikely we'll ever get rid of all of these behaviors. How much energy would that take anyway? Far more effective to offer an alternative. That's what this workshop is about, unlocking your expertise and letting it shine.

  • There are going to be times where you will need to break up with someone - a colleague, a customer, your cofounder. How do you handle it?

Conflict. It's going to happen. Even avoiding it is still a form of conflict. What is your style?

What do you need to feel more comfortable with difficult conversations? Join this session for some very practical information.

  • You have built your business and perhaps you are thinking about "What's next for me?" Or you want to have more time to focus on new directions, and new ventures but you still feel responsible for your first business.

What do you want the legacy of your leadership to be? Discover more about identifying and creating ways for people in your team to advance in their own careers. How can you equip them with what they need and give them the room to learn, do and rise?

The Total Package

The history of Lommerijk begins with Adriana Romein in 1880. At a time where very few women were business owners. Adriana started a tea garden with a children's playground in her husband's backyard. She called it Place Lommerrijk, because of the shady area under the chestnut trees.

Families enjoyed the panoramic view of the Bergse Plas in her garden. She served milk, lemonade, beer and slices of country bread with sweet milk cheese.

And now, almost 140 years later, Lommerrijk is still the cozy, hospitable place under the chestnut trees where people feel at home.

This history supports our mission to support female founders who dare to be trouble makers in their own right.
